Dvorák & Beach Piano Quintets with Cuarteto Bretón - Martes Musicales, Vitoria, Spain

Pianist Antonio Oyarzabal joins the Cuarteto Bretón for a captivating programme featuring two masterpieces of the piano quintet repertoire: Antonín Dvořák’s Piano Quintet in A major, Op. 81, and Amy Beach’s Piano Quintet in F-sharp minor, Op. 67.

Combining the warmth, lyricism and irresistible folk-inspired melodies of Dvořák with the rich Romantic harmonies and passionate intensity of Amy Beach, one of America’s most remarkable women composers, this programme brings together two extraordinary works in an evening of expressive beauty, drama and virtuosity.
