Overlooked by history, Ethel Smyth, Rebecca Clarke, Dorothy Howell and Doreen Carwithen were celebrities in their time. In conversation with award-winning author Kate Mosse, biographer and author of ‘Quartet’ Leah Broad resurrects their stories alongside extracts of their pioneering music performed live by pianist Antonio Oyarzabal.
