A colourful and engaging recital for saxophone and piano with award-winning saxophonist Rob Burton, centred around music by women composers of the 20th and 21st centuries. The programme brings together the refined French sound world of Fernande Decruck and Paule Maurice with works by contemporary American composers Amy Quate and Lori Laitman, exploring the rich lyricism, virtuosity and expressive range of the saxophone repertoire.
